Senior Brand Strategist

We are looking for a strategic thinker with a solid track record of solving complex problems, creating clever ideas, cross-functional collaboration and rebranding growing organizations. This role is responsible for leading projects, clients and working directly on and contributing to consumer and brand research, across a wide range of industries. Our team has four main offerings: brand strategy, writing, naming and design, all in service of our focused expertise in launching and refreshing brand identities. This role will contribute to both brand strategy and brand messaging, so copywriting and brand naming skills are plus. We believe in close collaboration with our clients, so this role will work directly with C-level executives to help lead them through the brand definition and expression process. This role reports directly to our Brand Strategy Director.

Where We Work

This full-time opportunity can be fully remote, or a hybrid role based in Atlanta, and may include some client travel (when safe and appropriate to do so) as well as occasional in-person Matchstic team meetings.

You Should Apply If You Have:  

  • Experience in the corporate rebrand process from research to launch to management.
  • Solid understanding of a creative agency business and what it takes to successfully lead clients, work in a fast-paced environment, and go deep in a wide variety of industries.
  • Experience leading both qualitative and quantitative research efforts for companies large and small ultimately to create strong, authentic, differentiating brand positioning statements. This includes but is not limited to: determining what research level is needed, developing research guides, writing interview and survey questions, partnering with sourcing and primary research vendors, conducting brand and competitive audits, leading client working sessions, developing audience personas, pulling insights and distilling to core ideas.
  • Stellar communication skills and plenty of experience leading presentations, facilitating sessions with clients.
  • A knack for listening more than talking.
  • An appreciation and understanding of how brand strategy permeates the entire branding process, from design and messaging to applications. 
  • A love for collaboration, with an ability to think on your feet.
  • Desire to work closely with other strategists, writers, namers, designers and project managers.
  • A positive, proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, looking for autonomy and growing influence.
  • A proven ability to review reams of data and turn disparate data points into meaningful insights (in fact, be sure to mention what Matchstic project is your favorite one in your application).
